At The Forge Grooming we understand that every dog is unique and thats exactly how we treat them

Our grooming prices are based on a variety of factors including;

Coat Condition - A well maintained coat takes less time to groom than one that is matted or tangled. Extra time, care, products and skill is required for coats that need extra work.

Behaviour - Dogs that are nervous or anxious during grooming may require additional handling time and breaks throughout the grooming process. Aggressive dogs may require more patience and gentle handling during grooming sessions.

Style requested - Short trims take a lot less time to brush out and dry ready for styling than 2-3 inches of coat. Breed standard trims take more time and consideration than a one length all over clip.

Breed and size variations - Mixed breeds like Cockapoos vary widely in size, coat type and coat density. One Cockapoo may be small with a fine wavy coat and only take 1.5 hours to groom while another may be much larger with a thick dense curl that requires a lot more product and preparation time taking 2.5 hours to groom.

For this reason we provide price estimates rather than fixed quotes until we have seen your dog and had a chance to assess their needs. We always aim to give fair, honest pricing based on the time and care your dog needs.

Hand-stripping is charged at £35 per hour
